About the business

For over 15 years Regional Technical has been a successful family owned and run technical repair business. We are supported by technicians based in Orange NSW, Dubbo NSW and also Wagga Wagga NSW. Together we support and repair cash handling equipment for some of the biggest ATM and cash handling companies in Australia. We repair such equipment as ATM's in banks, pubs and clubs, Self Checkout machines in supermarkets and cash handling and counting machines large and small.

 

 

About the role

As the Field Support Officer you will be our first point of contact for our valued clients. You will be the bridge that supports the smooth communication between our clients and the field technicians. Excellent communications skills both written and verbal are an absolute must! A friendly and supportive nature would be a distinct advantage.

  • You will be responsible for creating, dispatching and updating of service tasks to the field via our cloud based software tool.

  • Work as a team to liaise with both clients, field technicians and contractors to gain up to date ETA's to client site and updating our clients by either email, phone or client online portals.

  • Escalation of any service delays in a timely manner to management.

  • Supporting field technicians with service call closures and the packaging and return of defective parts and equipment back to our client offices.

  • Receiving courier deliveries to our office and adding received spare parts to our clients parts receivable online portals.

  • Maintain client consignment stock and conduct yearly and half yearly stock takes as required.

  • Assist Management with the approval of contractor invoices

Skills and experience

  • A professional phone manner with the ability to wow the client with every contact.

  • You must be a excellent communicator both written and verbal.

  • Must be physically able to lift at least 20kgs

  • Proven knowledge of the Google Apps for Work suite and or Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Minimum of at least 2 years experience in an administrative role would be a distinct advantage

About the Position

 

Regional Technical is seeking a field based Service Technician to join our team based in Orange NSW and surrounding towns and cities. You will be responsible for onsite service and repair of clients equipment such as, ATM's, Self checkout terminals, Cash Redemption Terminals, Cash management Machines. Sites include Banks, supermarkets, pubs, clubs and service stations. You will have a varied and interesting day working on a wide range of equipment. 

 

About You

 

As a person you would be described as someone who has had a long-term interest in technology, mechanical components and computers. You will have a natural sense of urgency and great customer service approach. You would also have a natural ability to find faults on equipment that is foreign to you. You will possess excellent written and verbal skills with passion for customer service. Previous experience in the repair of ATM’s and Self Checkout terminals would be a distinct advantage.

Key responsibilities will include:

 

Becoming competent in the repair and servicing of a range of cash handling equipment. Such as ATM's, Self checkout systems, Cash redemption terminals, and Cash management machines.

Having a good ability to liaise professionally with the customers and ensure repair service levels are achieved.

Communicate effectively to management.

Maintain and manage your vehicle van stock.

Assisting with call management including call creation and closure.

 Adhering to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice requirements and be able to identify potential hazards to ensure your safety and others in the workplace.

 

To be successful in this position you will have:

 An Australian drivers licence

 Willingness to supply a National Police Certificate (NPC) as part of onboarding

 Genuine interest in computers both hardware and software ideally supported by a minimum Certificate III in Information Technology and/or possess an office equipment repair background such as photocopiers and printers or similar.

Minimum 2 years experience in the repair of ATM’s and Self Checkouts would be a distinct advantage but not required as training will be provided.

 A good ability to retain knowledge coupled with a high attention to detail.

 Be able to work autonomously and within a team environment with a great work attitude.

 Natural problem solving skills.

 Excellent communication skills written and verbal.

 Excellent personal presentation, organizational and time management skills.
